About
Siena Moon Design was founded in 2021 after many years of making my own costumes as a circus performer and aerialist.
As a seasoned performer, I know first-hand the special considerations that are required for garments that are made to move, dance, and flip around in on stage, and all of my work is designed & built around those unique needs.
I began sewing in 2010 and have well over a decade of experience making costumes for stage performers. I have a Fashion Design certificate from Otis College of Art & Design and a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from Roger Williams University. Two years into my professional design career, I received a BroadwayWorld Regional Award for Best Costume Design on my work for "Into the Woods" at Stadium Theatre in Woonsocket, RI (2022).
I started out designing costumes for local theatre productions and doing custom commissions for other performers, but quickly burnt out. I craved more creative freedom and the ability to make my designs accessible to a wider audience.
In 2023, I phased out of commissioned work and pivoted to offering my designs at a grander scale via small batch, ready-to-wear collections.

All garments and accessories are designed and built with one set of hands at my Providence, RI studio.
